"That's hard to imagine. You've been so obedient thus far. You must have had something very important to say?" She glanced at him while she waited for a response.

His gaze had been directly forward but it dropped the slightest bit. "I accused a trusted official of treason."

"Was it a rash accusation or did you have good reasoning?"

"I observed him making plans with a nobel to assassinate the head of the family I served. My accusation was grounds for treason itself, my charge was ordered by the head of the family to teach me a lesson about speaking without truth." He looked like he was remembering something, most likely disturbing. "I was forbidden to return to that noble house, days later I learned the head of the family had indeed been assassinated."

She swallowed and kept silent, thinking of what to say

He looked at her, "I couldn't talk for weeks. My lesson was speak the truth, or you shouldn't have the ability to speak at all. I only healed because of my species resilience." His voice still sounded like it wasn't used often, and there was a slight undertone of pain along with a roughness, like if he talked to much it would begin to hurt.

"I...I think that was very brave of you to have risked so much in order to protect those you served." She nodded.

"It was not bravery." He didn't continue to give a reason on why he said so.

(Brb for 15 minutes.)
"Then what was it? You did it out of fear?"

"I cared." He looked blank after replying. In truth it was because he cared, he wanted to keep that family safe but he was called a liar and tortured because of it. Betrayed.

(Actually nvm.)
"Then I still think it was very noble of you. I am actually very pleased; it's good to see a guard care for his masters so much."

He nodded, but if he accepted her words or not was left unknown.

"I apologize if I made you talk too much."

"I will do whatever you say, no matter what it is."

She nodded and then sighed "Perhaps we shouldn't continue flower-picking as you find them to be....appetizing."

His eyes looked amused, "The choice is yours." His face was blank though.

She couldn't help but smirk a little as she decided to humor his odd appetite "Is there a certain flower's taste you prefer over another?"

"The sweeter ones." His answer suggested he didn't know the names.

"Can you describe them?"

He looked around out of the corner of his eyes but didn't seem to see anything. "Brightly colored ones?"
