Porridge seemed to notice that Kyu was uncomfortable and his ugly face twisted into an even uglier cat-smile.

Kyu tried to not look at the cat but he always ended up glancing at it

Porridge just kept staring at him, never seeming to blink. Rose continued to walk until after awhile she realized she didn't really know which way she was headed. She stopped and turned around to look at Kyu "I'm not exactly sure where the entrance to the village is." As she was speaking, Porridge wriggled around in her arms to turn and continue staring at Kyu.

He stared at the cat and blinked, "The...what.." The cat had put him into some kind of trance by that point.

She sighed in exasperation and put her hand on her hip, still holding Porridge with one arm "Hello? Are you even listening to me? The entrance to the village! Where is it?" Porridge flicked his tail in amusement, glad to see his mistress yelling at the foul man.

He had a few more moments of trance state before he blinked and looked at her, "The entrance is a bit further." He nodded in a slightly different direction that where she had been walking.

"Thank you." She headed in the direction he had indicated at a brisk walk. Porridge squirmed some and resumed his position at Rose's shoulder, looking evilly at Kyu again.

He resumed following her but this time he tried hard not to look at the cat. As they neared the village he completely forgot about the cat and paid attention to their surroundings.

As they got nearer the village, there were sounds of people talking, laughing, and going about their business. There were also sounds of animals like cows and chickens. There were many different smells coming from the village, such as food and the scent of livestock. As they got closer, Rose stopped and turned to Kyu again with a worried expression "My dress..."

He waited with a questioning look, "The top is the showy part."

"But...but then I will look hideous..." She looked at him with a mortified expression. While she knew she needed to dress down some to blend in at the village, the idea still scared her. She had never had to not look like a beautiful princess before.

He tilted his head, "You want to visit the village, you don't want to get in trouble. You have to have a choice" he stared at her

She sighed sadly and handed Porridge to him to hold while she worked on her dress. Porridge squirmed and hissed in protest, even aiming a few swipes at Kyu's face with his claws.

He waited while not really being able to do anything about the cat scratching him up.

She took off the top part as Kyu had instructed, cringing as she looked down at herself. She took the time to also pull out her hair ribbons and take off her very expensive looking slippers. When that was done, she reluctantly reached up and took her crown off her head, tucking it safely down the front of what dress she had left.

"I hope not..." She bent down and gathered up some dirt to rub on her face and arms.
