Sure, You Can Push Their Consiousness [Sp?] To Being Barely Noticeable, But When Your New To Power Absorbing, You May Just Find Yourself Slipping Into Insanity....

Demons, Witches, Vessels [Possessed By Demons/Witch], And A Small Handful Of Others Are The Only Ones To Be Able To Absorb Powers And Have Their "Inner Self" Be Able To Destroy/Eat The Souls And Not Have Any Side Effects[Most Of The Time]

Those Who Absorb[Basically Steal] Powers Are Feared As "Oni" (O-nee)

I'll Make Some Characters With Cool Powers That You Can Kill And Absorb.

If Your Character Is Absorbed And Barely Alive It May Be Able To Survive But With No Powers[Unless You Get Them]

You Can Also Be Gifted, Cursed, Ect Powers, Either Offer Something In Exchange Or Force A Witch, Demon, ect To Gift Them.

A Curse Is Usually A Power You Have No Control Over Or One With Rise [Ex: Katsu Is Cursed So That Whenever His Name Is Said Something Explodes]

Oni's Can Also Pass Powers On ,Either Giving The Full Power To Another Or Giving Them A Potential For It While They Are Still Young[Having The Potential You Can Manifest That Power In Time Or All At Once]

If you want a killable character to appear then just ask, I won't usually let you decide what power your character will get but I pride myself on being able to be create powers and skills and match them almost perfectly.

And no, its not set in stone that you must kill yo gain power, perhaps an accident happened, you saved a dying gifted, maybe you did a bad deed.
