Kalinaw tackled Phoenix hard.She was on top of Phoenix, biting, nipping, scratching her, but Phoenix laid still. Looking into Kalinaw's eyes,her constant feeling of peace unaffected. Kalinaw couldn't bear look into Phoenix's eyes, so she reached to claw the right one and Phoenix closed her eye, a trickle of blood and a cut on her eyelid not causing any pain to her whatsoever. Kalinaw was scratching her up pretty good-Phoenix looked terrible. Kalinaw was getting tired of beating her up, and seeing the other wolves not in sight, she slit Phoenix's throat with her claw before flying away, looking to find Timber and Saphira to finish them.

Phoenix gurgled blood, coughing some up in a loud fit.Then she laid still-it was over.

Kalinaw scanned the plains, carefully circling areas of deep brush to make sure she didn't miss them.

Phoenix couldn't feel anything..... She was dead. Her first regeneration soon to come for the angel. She hadn't a clue what was going on, her processes reset and her body remade, leaving a scar on her eye.
