TRPhoenix trodded slowly along, her feet weary from her foot travels, yet they pushed on. She had no clue where she was, per the norm, but something seemed special about this place-it was full of the alone. Some were forgotten, put aside by others-she found it to be like a gold-mine for her purpose. She'd made many friends in this place, now known to her as Haven, and gotten her mission along quite well. The injured always laid, curled up or in a heap of themselves, and she provided last provisions and relieved suffering for them. She sat with a dying wolf, a large, old and black male, several nights ago. He told her about his life in lively detail, staying up nearly all night, until he reached the end, the end of his story and the end of his life.

Lights shined brightly or gloom flashed for each who died, their soul, whatever it had been, left them.
(Just woke up)

Phoenix was not phased by the amount of death-every angel encountered it, be it directly on indirectly. Death was a force of nature, a most haunting one at that.It would scare most to venture here, to a forest of metaphorical flames, in this place called the Gateway, often added To Nowhere on it's name.
It wasn't the place was scary, rather beautifully, actually, in an unexplainable, haunting way.Phoenix still took it in stride, unwavering as cries of anguish and howls craving vengeance and mercy filled the air like a thick, black smoke.
She could feel the pads on her feet wearing down, the hard rocks of her travels taking their toll against the one who felt no such pain, only a desire to keep going, to help.

(More like Grinch xD)
Something gold flashed beside a young one, his life slipping away yet the gold outline remained, waiting for him.

She became closer to the Gateway. It's shifty and dark ways seemed to need her. They craved the help she graciously provided, time after time. She'd spent weeks here already.
Chaos seemed to mount in the Gateway lately, with news of a sleeping Alpha and more trouble-causing rogues coming into the area. They all looked different, in form, shape and size, yet they all had a look of hardness and mercy pleading in their eyes.
Another had died last night, under Phoenix's watch. She eased his pain and fed him well. But he left her just the same, as most did in this place. She was used to it.
She knew she needed to move on soon, having helped, and knowing other wolves and places needed help too.
