Taylor was paddling swiftly through the forest on an early morning. Light was just starting to shine through the trees, only to be taken away by the dark clouds approaching. Thunder was rumbling in the distance, and the already frosty temperature dropped. Taylor didn't seem to care. Her swiftness turned a little more reckless. Her expression was of pain as part of her past flashed through her mind. Her mother. Abandoning her. The memory has always been so incredibly vivid. One she always try's to avoid, but sometimes, like now, it comes across her mind. She began running, in hopes to free herself from this memory, but to no avail. The thunder was now sounded right above her. She looked up, and that was the moment she crashed right into a fallen, rotting tree. She yelps as pain shot through her body, but the main source was her right paw. She painfully lifts it up to see it disfigured, with bits of wood embedded into her flesh. Blood began seeping down her paw. Thunder boomed, and lightning flashed. Rain started to pour down in heavy sheets. She winches and tries to back a little under the fallen tree for shelter.

(I'll play Jett because I need to figure him out more)
*The lone wolf was enjoying the storm. His thoughts were else where.*

Taylor's soaked tail was sticking out from under the log.

Her tail caught his eye and he trotted over to her. He lowered his head to look at Taylor

Taylor shivered under the fallen tree. Her jaws were clenched as the pain in her paws increased. The tainted smell of her blood irritated her. How could she have been so stupid to not watch her steps? She felt outraged for being so reckless. She abruptly detected the footsteps of someone approaching. She took noticed of her tail sticking foolishly out and cursed. She hastily moved it out of the rain, and closer to her body, hoping whomever was out there didn't take notice of her bright green tail in the dull forest. Unfortunately, the sound of ear-piercing footsteps came closer until she saw legs and a body right outside of the fallen tree. She attempted to hide her injured paw, in hopes of not appearing weakened. Taylor laid her ears back against her damp head, and when he lowered his head, she curled his lips to show him her fangs in warning. Taylor was not pleased with her ensnared surrounding. She was in no condition to fight, but was hoping his intentions were not to harm her.

He was curious at the sight of her. He watched her trembling body with care and caution. He didn't feel the need to fight for he didn't want too, He has happy which was good for her. He didn't want to intrude on her space and if she didn't want company he wouldn't stay. But something wasn't right. He knew she was scared but of what he didn't know. His happy mind set was distracting his power. He gave her a slight smile as to offer peace and comfort. His dark eyes drifted to her paws where he saw blood in the place they had been. He didn't inch forward just he seemed worried. Speaking would ruin the moment and he didn't want to break the steady sound of rain drops.
He looked deeper into her mind to find her fear. For once he felt sorry for another being. He stayed in the rain as he understood. He didn't show dominance but he didn't show weakness. No part of him shivered in the cold either. He still studied her. admiring her tail that had caught his eyes and back to her paw.

(Sorry my thing died)
She was content with his peacefulness and perked her ears forward. She studied his face, and was very much appreciating his kind and gentle appearance. This wolf isn't a threat, is he? Removing her threatening expression, she silently watched this new male observe her. She wondered why the rain didn't seem to effect him... Odd.
She followed his gaze to her failed attempt at covering her injured frumpy paw. Heat instantly began to l blaze in her cheeks and ears, once again feeling mortified. What was the point of even trying to hide it? She imagined the kind of fool he was taking her for.
With a sharp breath she once again lifted her paw, and placed it down. Winching at the while. Still blushing she looked up at him shyly, breaking the silence of the steady sheets of rain she cleared her throat. "I was running... I ran into this tree, and injured my paw" Her mouth tasted bitter as she waited for his response.

*He nodded his head slowly and sat down on the soggy ground.*
"Well done." *His voice sounded sarcastic yet caring and kind. The rain started to drip from his untrimmed fur but he still didn't want to invade. The log was too small for them both to fit under. He knew why she had been running and why she lost focus. The feeling of loneliness was no fun especially when it comes to people you love and care for. His eyes still looked at her paw and he motioned toward it and held out his* "May I?"
*He wanted to help or at least ease the pain a little he had no healing power but he could do something, anything. He didn't like to hear her wince when she moved it, he knew what it was like. He was usually alone so no one provided help to him but he wanted it to be different for her.*

She bit her lip as he "congratulated" her on her foolishness. Did he even think it was foolish? She wasn't completely sure.. She couldn't detect any amusement on his expression. When he asked to see her paw, she immediately stretched her stiff leg out towards him. She wondered if he somehow knew how to help her. She watches him and detects some understanding in his eyes. She wondered why he was helping her... She was grateful for it, but also very curious.

He gently took her paw and studied her wound. He looked at the blood that continued to drip and held back a smile. He didn't want her to think of him as morbid and creepy. He began to pull the bigger pieces of wood out of her paw. Once he took those out he began to find the smaller ones to make them slightly bigger so he could take them out but with out causing to much pain as they expanded. As he went he spat them out of his mouth onto the ground. He made sure to keep her paw out of the rain so is any bad bacteria was in the water it wouldn't infect the wound.
When he as done he gently put her foot down. He wished he had something to wrap it with to stop the bleeding. He wiggled his tail a little and stood up, looking of into the distance and back at her. "that should help a little." He gave a smile

She watches Him while a look of appreciation beamed on her face. It felt better to have them out. Before he came she knew she had to get them out, but instead he came and offered to help. She grimed at the thought of that and felt bad. The male wanted to help..but still. When he finished she returned a soft smile, and thumped her tail a bit.
"Thank you so much!" Her green eyes and tone showed him great gratitude.
That was when Taylor started to wonder why he wanted to help her. She hadn't met many people out here who showed this much kindness... If anything she would have expected someone to inflict harm upon her. She tilts her head at him with a puzzles expression. "Why did you help me? I am a complete stranger, yet you offered to help me..." She paused, and then added quickly as not to sound rude. "Not that I'm not grateful or anything. It's just I don't meet many wolves as kind as you"

He chuckled darkly and smiled slightly. The rain started to pour harder but he stayed out in it. Enjoying the shower and coolness of the water. He listened carefully to her voice, making sure o catch every word. He enjoyed helping her but he didn't know why he had. It may be sympathy or just plain kindness he had never seemed to find. He hesitated to reply, but when he did he spoke gently and soft.
"I guess..." He stuttered so he wouldn't embarrass her about her mother and past "I know how it feels to be lonely when you need help. When no one is there to help." looked at her with a smile. "But I wouldn't say...kind."

Taylor watched this male with the silver coat as he pondered her question. For a split second after his laugh she wondered if she had judged him for someone kind too soon. She became aware of the wolves who pretend to be kind, but in the end they turn on you. The thought made her a bit uncomfortable, but she didn't let it show.
No, he wouldn't be one of those wolves. She dislodged that thought from her mind, and smiled slightly when he spoke. It felt wonderful to have someone understand her....
Suddenly her fur bristled as her mind chewed on his final words, 'I wouldn't say...kind'. She gazed up at him, no longer feeling comfortable under the log, but felt threatened as her gut twisted. How did he understand her so well? Was he a mind reader? A stalker waiting to strike? Her voice was small bit demanding. "How do you know I'm alone? With no one to look out for me? I could have a companion somewhere near by..."

He watched her reaction closely but didn't mind it. It was the truth. He is bitter inside and forces himself to speak softly.
When she looked at him, his noticed something was wrong. That she was no longer comfortable with his strange presence and use of words. His blue tipped ears picked up her Nervous voice. He hesitated to speak so she wouldn't get freaked. He didn't want to seem like a stalker or a weirdo, so he spoke kindly. "If you have someone hear by wouldn't they have helped you? They surely would have noticed you were in pain." He slowly looked back into her eyes and had a curious look on his dim face "And you wouldn't have been so afraid"

Looking down, she sighed sadly, realizing her mistake as he spoke. Of course. Anyone could figure out her lonely situation. Once again, she made herself look like a fool."...I'm sorry" was all she could say. Why did others confuse her so? Gods she really needed a social life. This rogue life was too much for her to handle. Taylor was surprised she's still alive. With a crooked glum grin she looked at him again. "I'm Taylor, by the way"

His listened to her response with confusion. Why was she sorry? There was nothing to be sorry about. But he paid attention to her voice when she told him her name. He wasn't expecting this after her recent response and he froze, almost forgetting his name
"I'm J-Jett." He said in a shy voice, almost embarrassed for forgetting his name. It was the first time he seemed shy and small in front of her. What had he gotten himself into? Talking with a female when he has a job to do. Yeah i guess he could sense anyone near by there fear, but he would just have to leave her and probably never see her again which was the story of his life. Repeated over and over again. Friends were strange to him. A whole different place he had yet to explore. Was he comfortable with friendships? He didn't even have the answers to the questions so frequently asked in his mind.

Taylor immediately noticed a change in his placid appearance as the shyness took over him, and for some reason found it genuinely cute and attractive. Not that she felt anything romantic towards him, but that he'd be a person worth getting to know. His name bounced around in his head as her face cracked into a sweet smile.
She was getting cold under the fallen log, as the water that reached her green coat began to seep towards her skin. She wiggles out and shakes off a bit, not putting any pressure on her wounded paw.
